In the duel with nice weather and the probability of meeting Mr. Covid, the sun won. For the walk to Rašica I chose a bit more hidden paths that he doesn't use nasmeh.

I started under the Črnuški bridge and along the Sava towards Gameljne and Povodje. There the markings first show up and I dig into the slope. Soon I said goodbye to the signs and continued over Mali and Veliki hrib. It is not far to the Tower on Rašica anymore. Then descent past Dobeno and the upper part of Črnuče to the starting point. Except at the tower, there was no one anywhere.

The distance rule has become completely normal. The remedy for patients who do not respect it is very simple. Sneeze loudly twice and everyone scatters. That's probably why toilet paper consumption has increased velik nasmeh.

Given that the photo in the post is from the Kočevje forests (author's statement), the news might at least be questionable.

Uh, yeah, a total mess has arisen. nasmeh
They say the photo is symbolic, as it was taken in the Kočevje area; it's hard to verify if the rest about the bear is true.
The description of the bear's movement by the hunting warden seems convincing.

Trzinski odsev has just published that NO bear was spotted in this area.

In the original post: On Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 3 PM, a bear was photographed on the road to Žečko (road to Dobeno behind Cegvenški bajer).
Later, a note was added to the photo: the image is symbolic

Well, now the Mengeš municipality has withdrawn the "news". Obviously it was a "joke".

It was a prank..

"Following yesterday's finding by Trzinski Odsev that the photo with the bear news was not taken in Mengeš and our call to the Mengeš Hunting Association to have the eyewitness send us the real photo, it turned out to be a prank by an irresponsible citizen.
The news published on the Municipality of Mengeš website is not true and will be removed. As the hunting warden also emphasized, this is irresponsible behavior that undermines the credibility of the Hunting Association and causes long-term damage, as if a real sighting occurred, locals might not take the notice seriously anymore. Such pranks should not be made especially during isolation and movement restriction to one municipality. The hunting warden expressed outrage at this."

Due to changeable weather, we went to Rašica on Saturday. Start from Srednje Gameljne, where the path is completely renovated. Along the way, you can find some chestnuts too. At the top, the hut is open so we treated ourselves to coffee, they also had fresh buhteljne.

The idea to connect two favorite hills of Ljubljana people, Šmarna gora and Rašica, into one nice circular path has been brewing for years... and now, in the second wave of covid, we finally realized it.

This is how we hiked (Tuesday, November 3): Tacen – via Mazijeva trail to Grmada – descent to the saddle – Šmarna gora – descent past Turkov znamenje to Povodje – ascent along the ridge path via Veliki vrh to Vrh Staneta Kosca (Rašica) – descent to Srednje Gameljne – return along Sava to starting point in Tacen.

Great loop, quite decent for Ljubljana municipality, both in length (over 17.5 km) and elevation (over 900 m). On Šmarna gora we didn't linger due to many visitors, on the way to Rašica it was incredibly solitary, at the top just enough hikers to easily maintain recommended distance. On weekends it's apparently quite different...

Nothing to say, nearby hikes are fine sometimes too. But now all surrounding hikes in fog and mud are done, so time for something a bit higher, in the sun. But Saturday's was also foggy, muddy, but still in good family setup. This time to Rašica from Črnuče, to the tower, then to Dobeno, where we haven't been for many years. Couldn't go to the inn at Blaž. At Špan on Rašica they have a nativity scene. Walking was a bit over 4 hours, 16 km. Shoes muddy, like weights on feet... but will is still there for now!

Today longer path to Rašica (Stane Kosec Peak) starting at Dobeno. From start continued to Mengeška hut on Gobavica. After short stop then ridge path to Rašica (Stane Kosec Peak) and back to start. Nice path. Garmin showed 16 km walked.
