Igor is right. nasmehI always drive LJ. - Rateče - Trbiž - Predel - Bovec, at least 15x yearly on this route, average one or two minutes under 2h. Per CPP !

Yes, time-wise I think faster, since you go highway, then anyway the road towards Predel is pretty empty. One variant also over Vršič, which we haven't tried. But km-wise it shows a bit, about 10km difference, not that big as you might think. Yes definitely on Saturday over Vršič or Predel to Bovec.
Thanks to both for suggestions.

Over Predel faster than over Vršič. Tried both. Well, depends on traffic too.

I go from Železnkov always over Predel. True, some km more, but nicer than the winding and narrow road over Baško grapo.

I go to those areas from Šk Loka via Poljanska dolina to Cerkno, road is better and wider than Baška grapa, no jams. Time-wise about the same. Katty that's an option for you too.

Yeah I know yeah, but it's almost faster than via Baško grapo. Or it just seems that way to me. Tomorrow we'll try it ourselves.

yeah I go over Vršič to Rombon usually, but the path is boring, so better via Rateče

a little spring a bit ahead of the emergency bivouac, but usually nothing from it, you just notice damp ground.

B station - Planina Krnica - summit and back the same path. Markings where they are still nicely visible.

Hello Igor, I'm interested if the path from mulatiera near Lope (at height circa 2000m) is still visible, steeply descends to planina in Krnica and joins main path at height 1450-1500m. Few years ago we used it with friends for descent and quickly reached valley. The branch then wasn't very visible, I don't remember if there was a cairn, older passerby advised it then.. nice regards!

For access and later descent we used exactly that little path, marked only with cairns and upper part nicer to follow, lower due to grass somewhat less. From Prevala - Rombon path it branches off steeply downhill to the north behind summit Pri Banderi, that's where on the west side of the final ridge Vratni Vrh, Jelenk, Pri Banderi still visible walls and one "terrace" cavers use when exploring cave Čehi2. Below it joins path from east "behind spruce". Locals call this path "under walls" and it is quick access to Planina Krnica when you want to avoid bend at Prevala.

Thanks for the answer, for access I think it is somewhat strenuous, but worth it, saves some. Is there a cairn in the lower part on the section? Best regards!

Hi
I'm interested in the spring below Vrh Ribežnov between Rombon and Črnelska Špica-does it flow all year round and is the water drinkable? In that area I'm planning a longer tour, every liter of water in the backpack is one extra kg.

Of course it's drinkable.
The water was very welcome for us.1
