Ločanka, Primož and Luka! Thanks for nice responses! Sometimes it really cheers up! Forgot this: right below Ablanca summit found a glove. Assume from one of recent predecessors. Posted in ads anyway, but not sure if anyone checks.

28.9.2921; Glava, Mesnova glava, Močile, Vrh Slemena, Ablanca and return under VDV and MDV and over Kačji rob. Road asphalted, but to the barracks despite late hour I made it, further no, so no planned parking under Konjščica - just walked a bit longer (earlier ones reached P under Konjščica). Not following marks, but at P turn to cart track turning to path, then before pasture head to Glava and along ridge. Before Mesnova glava feel little path that later fades, or I overdid ridge following and waded through scree. At 1780 spot see cairn, but can't decide where continuation. Try straight (watch cliff!), but cutoff. Later looking back saw slight right on very steep scree, which I tested few meters but preferred return and descend bit more east - honestly, gained nothing. Monkey business complete. Overhanging scree unpleasant, but no big traps. When finally back on path, views open more, more grassy patches. If stubborn to step on Močile, fight scree again few meters. To cross Vrh Slemena even grab rock couple times, but more annoying transition to Ablanca where grab more loose scree than solid. Descended normal to Studorski preval, where indulged in enjoyment awhile. While sightseeing decided to continue cross path to Srenjski preval and back to start. Conditions good, no more hot, just morning grass wet and slippery. At Srenjski preval found folding knife. Who lost it, write to ZS, I'll send it.

Hello, is the path to Ablanca suitable for a dog used to such terrain? Asking mainly because the route mentions crumbly part to summit. Thanks for answer.

The path is not the most suitable for dogs, or rather danger for other hikers climbing behind you as the terrain is very crumbly and consequently falling rocks danger.

The trail is suitable for a dog used to such terrain. I've already been here with both my girl dogs and there were no problems, since it's a rarely visited peak, so no crowds to expect here. But you have to be careful anyway, if you're alone or if there's someone behind you or in this case just wait with the dogs in place until you meet.

Definitely suitable, if there's someone else on the path up down then wait, as Polona wrote. And water might be available for the dog below Studorski preval...

At Studarski preval I put on crampons and descend a bit down in the direction of Tosca, soon turn around and go back and to Ablanca.
