But that's definitely Vodiška planina? Doesn't seem so to me, unless there are more with same name on Jelovica

No, in two days I somehow gathered impressions from Jelovica, which I actually never explored on my own. Jelovica is a real paradise for free-ranging wildlife. Bears also wander around here. It's crisscrossed with numerous forest roads that lead to the doorstep of countless pastures. But you need to know these roads well and where they lead. We drove from Železniki over Rovtarica along Gladka dolina.
Along unmarked forest paths we first reached Selska or Selška planina, located north of Rovtarica. It's at 1140m. It's a living pasture. There are quite a few cattle grazing. There's even a shepherd in the shepherd's hut. Unfortunately he wasn't on the pasture. There are many buildings on the pasture. Mostly new or renovated and used as holiday homes.
We continued along unmarked forest paths to Oblakova planina, which however is not a living pasture. On the pasture there are only a couple of buildings used as holiday homes. Someone even dragged a holiday trailer up there-looks very abandoned altogether. Unfortunately the pasture is slowly overgrowing from all sides.
From Oblakova planina we went again along unmarked forest paths to Povšinova planina or planina Tamar. This is again a living pasture. This is a scenic pasture above Soteska before Oblakova planina towards Babji zob above Kuplenik. Approach is possible also by forest road from Rovtarica, west of Selska planina. It runs through a scenic area past Vršan vrh above Soteska. From there we could admire the Julians with Triglav at the head. There are cattle and even horses grazing. In the shepherd's hut there were two friendly shepherdesses.
Our guides had a tour with precise maps and other equipment-compass etc. Jelovica is also paradise for mushroom pickers. Currently no chanterelles yet.
