Copying: Dear visitors of Smarna Gora!

In the coming weeks, forest owners on Smarna Gora will start intensive removal of damaged trees. We agreed to try to inform you as accurately as possible via electronic media where the forest works will take place, which paths will be closed during cleanup and try to redirect you to other paths.

Therefore we ask you to be patient and attentive. Before most ascents try to check our website or Facebook page for path conditions, where works are happening. It can happen that works are ongoing in some areas without us knowing and we can't warn you of possible danger. If you hear chainsaws, machinery, try to avoid that area as much as possible and leave the area as soon as possible.

We certainly don't want anything to happen to anyone, so we ask for attention and caution. Especially warn all those hikers and recreationalists who usually go to the hill with headphones in ears; in coming months visit us more attentively, without listening to music.

We all must know that with the first strong wind, there will be danger of falling branches in the forest. Be careful!
We sincerely ask you to share the news with your friends so we reach as many potential visitors of our Mountain as possible.

Gora Trma, tonight we have a meeting, I'll post if there's anything new.
We will work on hiking trails in the next weeks. At the start of paths where fallen trees will be removed, warning signs will be placed, so we ask visitors to choose another path in such cases.

Hello!
Can someone please tell me if the Pogacnikova path or its continuation to the top is cleared or not? In the next 14 days I plan to go on a nice trip and take the opportunity to go to Smarna Gora via Pogacnikova path, but after the ice storm I don't know the condition in that part. If this path is not yet open, I'll take the classic - via Peske velik nasmeh

It wouldn't leave me alone, so I dragged Nataša and her little dog to Šmarna today. Up the partisan trail, down the pilgrim one. Nice, dry and already quite a bit blooming.
