Nice pictures. Of course it would be  nice if there was snow!?!...but think also a bit about people who had unfortunate days in September, October, November...in Loška dolina, Cerknica, Ig municipality, around Polhov Gradec, and elsewhere... For them every such day, even hour that is dry, sunny and windy counts for drying damp, soaked homes...Outside dry weather dries, inside strong heating. We will have to get used slowly to November and December without snow, if there's anything left for January, February and the rest and especially winter tourism saving...Lp

Me too today last time this year on Smarna. Went by bike to Tacen, then to Smarna Gora and also to Grmada. Weather and views super, path quite icy.

Crampons, except maybe at the saddle, are not needed. With a bit more caution you can avoid snow and ice everywhere.
