Nice morning on Smarna Gora. Just right after yesterday's wandering in the snowy Kamnik Alps.

New on Smarna Gora. Small waste bins installed on the fence posts.

This Smarna has little in common with real mountains. In all respects.

Does it get on your nerves? It's not a hill, it's a mountain.

Capraibex. What is it missing? Obviously you know Smarna Gora very poorly. No hard feelings. Lp

I think it's very hard not to know Smarna Gora, after we have to watch new achievements in equipment on top every day and read about details nobody cares about.

SamoK, ignore the post, you don't need to open it if you're not interested. Judging by your posts, you haven't been far from the armchair yet.

Come on Vinko, look at yourself a bit, what all bothers you, and start caring a bit for yourself. Especially these your scribbles that you post here belong only in your family album.

Every few months there's stumbling over the stumbling stone called Smarna Gora. Now some Himalayan would probably say Triglav has little to do with real mountains and below 5000m doesn't count at all. Everyone has their own. For some it's important to prove themselves with height and all "via ferrata" paths and then say they "climb". For others it's to go somewhere new without facebook achievements etc. Third only walk flat, fourth duathlon couch fridge. To each his own. Smarna Gora lacks nothing, even if not "real" mountain. For Ljubljaners excellent rec spot. For others occasional visit, good viewpoint, and elevation gain plenty. Though I don't like various trimčaks they are part of it. You meet them on "real" mountains with half liter water and spare shirt (not mountain runners). If Vinko wants to post about Smarna Gora let him. Noone forces you to read. Otherwise similar debate as mountain hut offers. Some for existing, go to mountains to exercise not hotel dining. Others want hotel up there. And probably no issue if tavern on Jalovec like on Smarna. Then trimčaks in sneakers up. Would Jalovec be "real" mountain for "real" mountaineers then?

I don't want to fight forumers, but so many posts about a local hill without some real basis seem excessive to me. Even because of some criticism it won't be the end of the world. This makes the already excellent forum hribi.net even better.

Don't worry, you won't anger anyone Smart ones don't argue Let everyone post what their heart desires. Maybe it brightens the day for someone who can't go but would. If it bothers someone, don't open the thread Best regards, Ben
