Solčava linden tree, Hribarska (Huda) blowhole, Huda peč.

I didn't even know in Solčava that this would be my route today. I meant to go somewhere completely different. But I stopped a bit above Solčava and started chatting with a local guy. I asked him about the Solčava linden tree. The man described the path onwards to Huda peč so nicely that I somehow changed my plan and headed up there. The path to Solčava linden tree is nice and easy, from there onwards things got progressively harder with every meter. The marks from Hribernik upwards weren't much help to me, as they've completely faded. So I started relying on my pretty good orientation sense. On the third try I finally managed to find the right path to Huda blowhole. It's really tough this path, I'd say quite demanding pathless terrain. In the blowhole I was rewarded with a wonderful view and pleasant coolness. Followed descent below the blowhole and continuation of the path steeply up to Huda peč. I followed what seems to me the only possible path to the top. The path is very steep. I climbed to the eastern peak-ridge of Huda peč and over the notch climbed to the main peak of Huda peč. All together it was pure enjoyment. The climbing fun was even a 4 at some spots.
Yeah, it was really great. Gotta repeat soon, now that I know the path. So I don't forget it.velik nasmeh

Even in Solčava I didn't know that this would be my today's route. I intended to go completely elsewhere. But I stopped a bit above Solčava and started chatting with a local. I asked him about Solčava linden tree. The man described the route further to Huda peč so nicely that I somehow changed plan and headed up there. To Solčava linden the path is nice and easy, from there on things got increasingly harder with every meter. Markings from Hribernik upwards weren't much help, as they are completely faded. So I started relying on my quite good sense of orientation. On the third try I finally found the right path to Huda zijalka. It really is tough this path, I'd say quite demanding pathless terrain. In the zijalka I was rewarded with wonderful view and pleasant coolness. Followed descent under the zijalka and continuation steeply up to Huda peč. I followed what seems the only possible path to the summit. The path is very steep. I climbed to the eastern summit-ridge of Huda peč and over the notch to the main summit of Huda peč. All together pure enjoyment. Also the climbing was on some spots already like a grade IV.
Yes, it was really great. Need to repeat soon now that I know the way. So I don't forget it.velik nasmeh

Today I was groping my way along the paths to Hribarska zijalka. Searching for markings is like a treasure hunt for a lost treasure, which ended without reward for me (despite persistent knee-biting mrk pogled). The last marking I could still see was on the rock at the entrance to the scree. Then wherever I went, up, left or right, everywhere I ran into a wallzmeden. Of course, apart from chamois, I met no one; now please someone on the forum tell me where the path goes from the scree onwards nasmeh.
Regards to all!

My wife and I also enjoyed and martinčkala today in Hribarska zijalka.
JTrogar - it offered you coolness on a summer day, to us pleasant warmth on this nice December day. The front part of the cave was nicely lit by the sun.
We also climbed to Huda peč (without climbing) and closed the loop downhill from the transmitter and over meadows and road to the valley.

Parked in Solčava and headed towards Solčava linden, then further to Hribarska zijalka. Got lost a couple times in between and almost gave up when finally found that beech supported by rock. Yes, it's really a beauty this zijalka, everything super sun, view... Thanks J.Trogar for detailed route description. Will go again.

Since the peaks are still white and I don't feel like walking in snow now, I decided for a trip around Solčava ends. I park in Solčava opposite the Cooperative home and head towards Solčava linden tree from there onwards to Hribarska blowhole. Got a bit lost but in the end found that "famous" beech tree. This blowhole is very interesting and I don't regret this trip especially in such wonderful weather as todaynasmeh

Yesterday past Solčava linden tree towards Hribarska (Huda) blowhole. The path is now well marked with RED DOTS, which this time led me too far left and we ended up at the transmitter above Solčava, which I saw on Sunday on the way back from Olševa. On descent we climbed to Hribarska blowhole too, and now nicely marked path back to the valley. Praise to the one who painted the dots, but true that it lost that charm (who seeks - finds).

My husband and I also won and conquered the beauty Huda blowhole on 26.08.2015. Judging by the entries in the logbook not everyone finds it. The search was rewarded with a magnificent view and a walk through the blowhole.

27.5.2016 Yesterday Milan and I wandered the ridges of Huda peč. We parked a bit below Ramšak and went along the marked path to Solčava linden tree. Hribernik farm at the linden and its surroundings are very nicely arranged. There we made a plan, as the ridges up from the farm are nicely visible. We started with the right one. Approach to it we found quite easily. A nice hunting path led us to it. The ridge itself is pure pleasure for climbing. Rock quite solid, difficulty II-III, mostly II. So we didn't use protection. It ended too quickly. Then we descended lower to the start of the neighboring left ridge. There we found again a nice hunting trail connected to the trail to Hribarska blowhole. So we climbed up to the blowhole and enjoyed the playfulness of swallows nesting there. Then back down and to the ridge, which is even nicer than the first. But this ridge has somewhere in the middle a pitch of IV difficulty with no easier bypass. So we belayed there. With height the ridge offered ever better views of KSA and Karavanke. A bit below the ridge top we took a long break at a wonderful panoramic spot. Young ravens entertained us with neck-breaking aerial acrobatics, sometimes just a meter above us.cool We intended to climb to the antenna too, but the third ridge tempted us, which Milan had eyed from the valley. We descended via it. Orientation was a bit tricky in the upper part due to many short ridges that end soon, and forest hides it. Only the third was the right one.nasmeh This ridge is a bit easier than the other two. But most of it has a nice hunting path. The ridge ends almost vertically below in the stream, where we could nicely cool off. All the action was pure enjoyment. As a bonus a local told us about a cave under one ridge, which will be reason to come back for sure.mežikanje

6.5 2018

One day a friend from Ljubljana calls me for some trip. We meet at my place and then on the drive to Logarska decide between Ojstrica peak and Huda peč for the latter. We park a bit above Solčava at Ravničar farm. Marked path to Solčava linden tree is hindered by quite some fallen trees, but can get through. The linden still stands, though many fell around it. Past Hribernik farm we continue up towards Hribarska blowhole. When the path turns from forest lane left up, avoid fallen trees on the left side and cross back higher to the path at the spring. There we quenched thirst. Further up no more issues with fallen trees. In Huda blowhole we stayed quite a while, it was really pleasant. Also quenched in natural stone basin where excellent water drips. Then descended and on the other side up the vertical gully to the ridge, along which we climbed to Huda peč. The ridge gave plenty climbing pleasures and wonderful views. But the ridge spiced with two pitches where no belay no go. Quite worn out we reached the top of Huda peč and sat there long. Descended to flat towards panoramic and then pathless further. Lower we hit nice hunting path along which we crossed to the path coming from the ridge. Descent on this short ridge was really very steep. Below enjoyed waterfalls, barefoot walking and cooling overheated feet in ice-cold water. Nice trip it was.
Igor thanks for getting us moving.

Today at eight in the morning I drive from Nazarje. Plan was Mrzla gora, but the legend of the sinkhole just before entering Logarska tempted me to go look for mysterious nymphs. Turned around and drove back towards Solčava.
Towards the linden tree practically no path. Storm consequences created a labyrinth of fallen trees, since terrain familiar, I go by memory.
From linden onwards the devastation continues to the viewpoint. From there no major problems and as if nymphs led me to the sinkhole, the path took me to a beautiful spot above Solčava.
Steep terrain from start to end. Pure enjoyment. Took my time and in three hours back at car full of nice impressions gifted by the path.
Safe!

A lot of water has flowed since my last visit to Huda peč and the wilderness below it. It didn't disappoint again.
The path to Solčavska linden tree-Hribernik homestead from Ramšak uphill is very nicely arranged.
Further up to Hribarska sinkhole it has changed a bit. From the Linden uphill there's quite a long forest track made. Higher up there are some fallen trees. But you can still nicely follow the steep path. The cable before the cavity is quite worn and is almost more for psychological support than safety. Enjoyment of the wonderful view from it rewarded the invested effort.
Followed the ascent along the ridge along which we go up. At two details I had to really puzzle. Especially at the second, when I already thought of giving up. But patience paid off when I finally found the right variant of holds. The continuation also required concentration, as I stuck to the ridge. It offers plenty of climbing.
Rest at the top was very welcome to me. Only the noise of the converter slightly spoils the view from the top.
I descended along the ridge that has a common summit with the ridge I ascended. I returned there via a hunting path. It's very varied in orientation and difficulty. At the last moment I found the right direction, otherwise I'd have to backtrack quite a bit.
In the stream below the ridge I washed my tired feet and thick layer of salt from my face.
It was nice for me up there.
The promise to the upper request will be the reason for another visit. Neža, I can't wait. Definitely before four years, because my shelf life is expiring, as Drago once wrote.mežikanje
