Again to these parts, since it'll be hot again and I don't like heat, Mičota and I decided to quickly loop. Šplevta up via Brinje, to bivouac at Jezera and back to valley via long screes. We were so early that the sun didn't bother us on the way, hot anyway, ... bp on path

At the known parking lot no more parking (warning note on windshield), 300m further newly marked with P sign. Up through Brinje down past bivouac and also climbed Mali Matterhorn, first through scrub, but from top saw passage on west side so returned there. Snow starts around 2100m, ... when returning through Kranj Kamnik S.Alps were in thunderstorm

Today nice circular tour past bivouac to Šplevta summit. Down via Brinje and short hop to Brinova glava. Path via Brinje very steep and exposed, in wet danger of slipping.
Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Morning without a cloud... colorfulness of larches increases with altitude, but who knows how long this colorful backdrop will last? On the whole path via Brinova glava up and B2 down met one mountaineer...

For observing the interesting lunar eclipse Šplevta seemed almost ideal choice, of course assuming clear weather. Cloudiness in the east led me to a more comfortable spot a bit lower. Unfortunately cirrus cloudiness was so thick that Moon broke through only around 21h, when total eclipse was already over. But it cleared nicely after 23h, when landscape got interesting touch of magic. If B2 wasn't occupied, probably would have bivied midnight photography. Morning jump to Dovški križ and down screes to Vrata.
