Years ago I was on the Brezniških peči ridge, but we didn't reach St. Peter then. So today's visit to this beautiful place was a pleasant surprise that calls for a revisit. Especially when you go a little higher and look back at the surroundings, the world is even prettier. Views to the snowy Julijci among pines, white Begunjščica that stands ahead with its beautiful ridge, the church of St. Peter and the view to Stol are what you notice first. When you continue to the Sankaška hut, it's like stepping onto a balcony, as you get a view over almost the entire Gorenjska, Lake Bled shines in its beauty and you can again admire the snowy Julijci across the valley.
After returning by another path, we drove to Kamen castle, where they are renovating the tower, so more caution is needed when viewing.
