Condition-wise she is well prepared (we needed 4h 45min to Triglav in summer). I would also most preferably go via JZ gully, I was thinking about the current conditions (I don't know if there's anything avalanche-prone over the gully).

It's possible that PS means pasture community, but I'm not sure

How much barer is the summit compared to 2 weeks ago.

The path is also marked with blue ribbons. In between, due to fallen trees, it is difficult to follow, but it leads to the marked transverse path towards the Javornik pasture, crosses it and continues forward in the direction of the SW ridge.

Hi. I'm interested in the conditions on the path Bašeljsko sedlo - Storžič. Has anyone visited this path recently? Is there still any snow or ice up there? Thanks!

Was up there last weekend, the snow was really wet, there's still plenty of snow on the path.

PS means Povlje-Storžič. Internal local path, harder to follow despite the markings.

Hi. On Saturday I'm tempted to try Storžič via Peto žrelo. Is there anything special I should consider? Is the entry very difficult if it's dry? It shouldn't be too hard, because I'd be taking my better half. Orientation-wise, I know I need to go another ~150m east from the entrance to Kramarjevo, which I should be able to recognize.

Excellent, it describes exactly what I was interested in. Thanks! We'll see what happens with the snow... for now it looks pretty bad with this humidity. I forgot to check the forecasts

Yesterday I went from Dom pod Storžičem via Mala Poljana and Psica to the last peak before Žrelo and back the same way.
Between Velika Poljana and Psica, a little further along from the junction with the easier path to Storžič, there is a larger windthrow. Past the first fallen spruce, you can pass by stepping slightly down from the path to the right and going under the spruce. Further on, however, you have to go up to the left and then along the ridge search for the easiest passages through the vegetation. You return to the path only at the saddle, where there is also a smaller glade.
Further on the path there are quite a few smaller snow patches, some of them also exposed. Since the snow was sun-exposed, it was possible to kick steps and it went without winter gear with the help of brushwood, but when the snow freezes, it will be highly recommended. Otherwise, I think these snow patches won't last very long.
In the upper part of Žrelo there is still quite a bit of snow.

Hi. Does anyone have information on the snow on the path from Kališče, over Bašeljsko sedlo to the top? Can it be done without winter gear? Thanks for the info in advance.

On Saturday it was already all dry. From the saddle onwards you step on snow twice, but you can avoid it.. due to the heat it was also soft. I started at 11 o'clock, shorts and t-shirt all the way to the top. The trough or tap with water at the hut is blocked with a stick, so you need a bit of ingenuity. Nice trip and good luck

Hello, Is the hut open? Regards, Roman

I don't think so. The hut will be closed in May (check PD Kranj page), so I doubt it'll be open tomorrow if it's closed the whole of May. The hut below Storžič will be normally open for the weekend though.

How are the marked trails on Storžič? Southern side - Bašelj / Mače looks pretty bare, but I'm interested in the northern side too - Dom pod Storžičem. Škarjev rob and Žrelo are quite snowy, what about the southwest gully? Is it possible without heavy winter gear (ice axe/crampons)?
