With a slight delay, I send some colorful photos from our Očak. The first one was taken in the evening, 30.10.2006, the next five the next morning (0 degrees Celsius, light breeze), when I climbed up from Staničev dom, the last three or the penultimate two on 4.8.2007. Well, the very last one is evening again, when from the Brnik area I caught the last sun rays right of Rjavina.
Aja, maybe a note on the fresh clash of opinions on the Slovenianness-Triglav connection. Mass pilgrimages at any cost bother me too, not to mention boozing, loud shrieking and yelling, but still I think we shouldn't deny anyone this much-sung goal. I know quite a few people whom "old timers" lured onto this path, but then the mountains only soured on them. So, it's nice to be in respectful (morning, daytime or evening) peace on any mountain. That's why I prefer to head to such a popular summit at an "abnormal" hour, even better to go to many other Slovenian rock beauties, even if that's also a kind of (personal) pilgrimage. Or as someone nicely said: "If I can't stand being alone with myself, then it won't work even in two." But that's another story...

The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets are in autumn and winter, in summer it's rather poor overall. Recently I participated in some night shooting of a French-Slovenian co-production and some not too good shots came out.

I agree that in winter and autumn they are the most beautiful, but that's why in summer they are the most beautiful at the sea

It's true that in autumn and winter the views are probably nicer, but even in summer there are days with nice views and if in winter there aren't so many opportunities for everyone to go to the mountains, we just have to be content with that. But it's still an experience to wait for the sunrise on top of Triglav, I did it a couple of days ago and I was very impressed.
