Complete road closure from the roundabout to the TVD Partizan building
Gorenjska gradbena družba, d. d., announces that due to construction works, the state road will be temporarily completely closed in both directions on the section from the roundabout at the Jesenice Administrative Unit to the TVD Partizan building. The closure will apply on Saturday and Sunday, December 6 and 7, 2025.
Start of closure: Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 6 a.m.;
end of closure: Sunday, December 7, 2025, until 6 p.m.
The closure is necessary due to road asphalt paving as part of the communal development of the OPPN Partizan area.
Detours and traffic regulation
During the closure, traffic will be rerouted via state and municipal roads:
Detour will run along the state road (Cesta Maršala Tita, R2-452/0368) and local roads: Spodnji Plavž, Kurilniška ulica, Cesta Franceta Prešerna, Skladiščna ulica, Delavska ulica and Ulica Viktorja Kejžarja.
Traffic towards Italy, Austria and Kranjska Gora will be redirected onto the municipal roads via Delavska ulica (LC 152311) and Ulica Viktorja Kejžarja (LC 152141), with one-way traffic enforced.
Traffic towards Ljubljana and Žirovnica will be directed along the parallel municipal road (roundabout – Doka, LC 152171).

Completion of the renovation of part of the Health Home in Jesenice
The Municipality of Jesenice has successfully completed the renovation of part of the Health Home in Jesenice at Cesta maršala Tita 78a. The contractor is currently furnishing the spaces with interior furniture, which is the last step before operations begin.
The first floor has modern offices and clinics, the ground floor has a multipurpose hall for seminars and lectures as well as a gym for courses and training programs. The Health Education Center Jesenice (ZVC) or the new Health Promotion Center (CKZ) will move into the renovated spaces by the end of January.

Hruščan Carnival 2026: Gazing into the Future
On Saturday, February 14, the traditional Hruščan Carnival will take place in Hrušica, organized by the Cultural Sports Association Hrušica. This year's carnival theme will be "Gazing into the Future", so participants are invited to transform into robots, astronauts, time travelers or other figures related to the future.

By 2027: 113 new parking spaces
Over a period of three years, more than 100 new parking spaces will thus be created at various locations throughout the city in accordance with spatial possibilities. This represents a systemic step towards improving conditions in the area of stationary traffic and towards a higher quality of life in the city.
In addition to the mentioned projects, the Jesenice Municipality Development Strategy 2025–2035 also envisages the construction of a parking garage, which will long-term further relieve the most burdened areas and significantly contribute to the sustainable management of traffic in the municipality.

Complete closure of the Jesenice – west motorway junction (Hrušica)
We inform drivers that Gorenjska gradbena družba from Kranj will carry out extensive renovation of the carriageway and two bridge structures (bridge over the Sava and overpass over the motorway) in the area of the Jesenice – west (Hrušica) junction for investor DARS.
Work schedule
The works will take place from 31 March 2026 to 18 June 2026.
Due to the nature of the works, two phases of closure will be established.
Phase 1: complete closure of the junction
In the first phase, the Jesenice – west (Hrušica) motorway junction will be fully closed to all traffic. Works will be carried out simultaneously on both bridges and the carriageway.
Planned detours:
• From direction of Ljubljana towards Kranjska Gora and Italy: diversion already at Lesce junction, then via Jesenice – east (Lipce) junction or via Karavanke plateau.
• From direction of Austria towards Kranjska Gora: diversion to Jesenice – east (Lipce) junction.
• From direction of Kranjska Gora towards Ljubljana:
o passenger vehicles: via Karavanke plateau,
o goods vehicles: through Jesenice to Jesenice – east (Lipce) junction or Lesce.
During traffic peaks, use of the Lesce motorway junction is recommended, as this relieves left turns at the signalized intersection at Slovenski Javornik and improves traffic flow
Phase 2: partial traffic release (closure of arms A and B)
After completion of works on the bridge over the Sava, arms C and D will be open to traffic.
Enabled will be:
• exit from the motorway towards Jesenice and Kranjska Gora from Ljubljana direction,
• access to Austria (Karavanke tunnel) from the parallel state road.
Detours remain as follows:
• From direction of Austria towards Kranjska Gora: diversion to Jesenice – east (Lipce) junction.
• From direction of Kranjska Gora towards Ljubljana:
o passenger vehicles: via Karavanke plateau,
o goods vehicles: through Jesenice to Jesenice – east (Lipce) junction or Lesce.
The contractor will subsequently inform about the exact date of transition from the first to the second phase.
Extensive traffic signage will be placed on the motorway and state roads. Drivers are asked to strictly follow traffic signs and detours and thus contribute to the best possible traffic flow.
