On November 4th they will start demolishing the former Hotel Pošta.

The Building Inspectorate at the end of September with an amended decision ordered the demolition of the dilapidated former Hotel Pošta in Jesenice. Contractor GP Hribar from Lukovica will start demolishing the building presumably on November 4th. According to the contractor's estimates, the demolition works will last about three weeks.

Traffic on Cesta maršala Tita north of the object (past the court) will flow unimpeded, but there will occasionally be possible full road closures of up to 30 minutes due to demolishing part of the object standing right next to it. To make the works as least disruptive as possible for nearby residents, the contractor will wet the object during demolition and thus prevent the spread of dust from debris to the maximum extent.

During demolition the road to Mercator will be fully closed all the time, access will be enabled from the south side or regional road. The gravel parking under the hotel on the south side of the building will also be closed. All traffic signage for pedestrians and vehicles will be placed in visible spots, the site will be fenced and secured as per legislation.

Detailed notice on road closures will be published for the public on the website and Facebook page of the Municipality of Jesenice on Monday, October 28, 2024. The owners' representative will inform citizens about the demolition also on Radio Triglav.
