If you go to Tosc only below Studorski, yes. The steep part of the slope above the bench is (in the path area) in my opinion completely snow-free, some snow lies in the southern gully. Maybe some patch also on the top flat part, but there it is anyway passable everywhere.

Hello, I am interested in how much easy walking time I need from Rudno polje to Tosc and back to the starting point. I am asking mainly because I am tied to the bus back to Bohinjska Bistrica and the train ride home. Best regards

Thanks for the information. I am already familiar with this data, but I am asking because it seems to me that the time of 3 h 50 min might be somewhat shorter than the one listed on hribi.net.

I think that sometimes on hribi.net for the path Rudno polje --> Tosc it was even 4h 5min. But it seems to me that 3h 50min is closer to the real time, if you maintain a light pace. Of course everything depends on how fast someone is able to walk. A few years ago, when I was slower, I needed just a little less than 4 hours to reach the top of Tosc on this path.... Now, a week ago when I was there, I needed 2h45min with some stopping and chatting. For the way back I needed a bit more than 2 hours. If you're tight on time, to speed everything up I suggest that you don't take water with you for the whole way, but refill it additionally at that trough at Jezerca. Of course, if it's ok for you to drink water from the spring/tap. And of course, if that spring hasn't possibly dried up in the last week, because last week the water there was already flowing very slowly.

At the tap on the trough at Jezerci on Friday the water was only dripping, higher up the stream was still flowing. Ice cold of course.
