Traverse of the Mojstrovke to Travnik

Print

Garmont, if I understand right, you descended some 10m back towards the ascent direction and dropped into Dnina under the eastern Travnik barrier/walls - pic 1.
Pic 2 shows Travnik from the west side i.e. from Kola. If you'd gone there, you'd cross the pass you see on the previous side, on my pic 16.

Thanks, now it's all clear to me.nasmeh
View back at the southern ridge of Travnik. We descended exactly as the little finger indicated.1

Thanks for the explanations. Years ago I had the same problem as garmont, descended the same variant too. Looking from above from Kol - Travnik direction it looks like a drop below, but I didn't go down to check the pass. Now I know for next time.

Bruno I was there Saturday, great tour from Mojstrovke along the ridge edge to Šit, only I didn't abseil but just went down scree and around to J.skrbina and to Kristal. Would be interesting to see those anchors of yours, probably you rappelled two or three times.

Of course the ridge doesn't end at Travnik or Šiti, since before Jalovška škrbina there's still Lopa 2267, which I visited last year. Wondering if anyone descended to it along the ridge. I of course did a looooong detour.nasmeh

In oral tradition Lopa, but it could just be the unmarked western peak of Šit. As you like it. mežikanje It's understandable that climbers named the peak, as the north face besides established routes e.g. in Velika Mojstrovka, Travnik and Šite offered possibilities for new lines, while for the hiker who wants to get from Mojstrovke to Jalovška škrbina, it spoils the otherwise quite fluid ridge "walk". nasmeh

Thanks, Dejan!
If my fingers don't get cold and the camera doesn't glitch, it still kinda works...

Today Vršič first to Travnik, then along the ridge over all Mojstrovke, descent towards Šitna glava and back to Vršič. Forecast thunderstorms didn't come, saw some parties just coming out, path dry, moderate breeze on ridge. Yesterday lumbar puncture at neuro clinic but I'm fine

Today we set quite ambitious goals...traverse Mojstrovke and Šit. Up Župančičeva, then ridge.
But soon it showed plan needs adjusting. Due to strong sun already towards Zadnja Mojstrovka snow no longer looked "trustworthy". So the "long all-day tour" ended already at 12 zadrega

To read comments under pics, as well as the whole tour description, 2 conditions must be met:
1. person is literate
2. person is not blind

If one of them is not met...then can't read comments under pics of course. But ultimately not author's problem, because about 99% of people still have no trouble velik nasmehcool

(@Trobec,lijaneja):just for info: before I wrote the comment, I also checked the blog with comments, I wear glasses and I'm not blind yet, I'm probably not literate enough with my mere 6th grade education, which doesn't help me in retirement anyway, hi,hi!mežikanjenasmeh

The reply to mosovnik is neither polite nor correct...
I've been literate for 60 years and with glasses I see sharply, but I can't read comments under 30 pictures. How do you know that 99% of people have no problems? They just accept that some authors upload n pictures and that's all the effort!? You probably think everyone reads the blog!? The purpose of these pages is primarily to post current conditions... and not necessarily blogger promotion!

@masovnik aha...classic attention-seeking then

@opazovalec, the reply is exactly what someone deserves who never writes anything about conditions, but knows how to nag others on how they should post. Something that's commonly called trolling. Well... it would probably be even more correct to completely ignore such persons.zavijanje z očmi

Anyway, there are fewer and fewer of us who even describe the conditions. Hm...why is that? I'm always very happy when I can read a current post from somewhere I'm heading. I don't care at all if I have to make 2 extra clicks for it. It doesn't even cross my mind to bother someone why they didn't bring the description "to my ass". It's much easier to click once than for the author to write or paste texts multiple times. Unbeknownst to you, there's already more clicking closing ads on hribi.net cool

Maybe I'll stop posting conditions myself too, like many already have...because I see that posts interest mainly those who intend to complain zadrega
