Today on Utah, departure time from starting point (junction at pension, Logarska) at 05.55. At the summit approximately at 09.45. How I got to Ute is still not completely clear to me even now. Namely, I had a good guide, Mr. Zlatkota.
The pictures will tell something more.

p.s. This is a very demanding pathless route (no protections or path markings) very demanding orientation-wise!

A week ago I was here too with a geological camp and we observed rocks and collected fossils.

This hunting path branches off the marked path to Krofička, a bit further from Strelovec. First it's a slightly exposed traverse. Then we reach a saddle and descend over it to the other side. This descent is the most awkward. The path is always well visible and following it is no problem. Then we climb up the slope again (on the hardest part there are two prusiks instead of a wire rope). Soon we're at the shepherd's hut. Then from there we only ascend the scree.

On the steep grasses of Travnik in the ridge that Ojstrica sends northwards, and which separates Robanov kot from Logarska dolina, Roban's shepherd once grazed numerous flocks of sheep. He lived in the picturesque shepherd's hut "Na Utah" in the shelter of overhanging walls in the cirque between Utami and Travnik. The remains of the modest hut have, thanks to two enthusiasts and explorers of these hidden and idyllic corners where no marked path leads, undergone complete restoration in the last two years. Mountaineers craving silence on secret paths and unique views, who pass by here, might even wonder how they managed to carry all the necessary materials and tools so high into the steep terrain, but the next moment, captivated by all the beauties, quietly continue on with the promise that we will surely return. Immense thanks to both, so that next time we won't find only ruins...

@Edina Hello!
Yes, Ute is truly a place where we listen to silence and don't fear looking into the depths.

Otiv, it's true that some corners are especially dear to our hearts, but if you start discovering them in winter too, the enthusiasm is so much greaternasmeh. Bbrina I also like to look at your photos, anyway everything in the mountains is unique. Nice greetings to both.

A wonderful Sunday practically invited me into the mountains by itself. Last week I stuck to the markings to Ojstrica, this time I choose wide pathless terrain from Robanov kot over Črni hrib or under Krofička and Travnik to the renovated hunters' hut under Utami. There is no snow on the entire route anymore, but the pathless part is very demanding. The start of the path in Robanov kot is described in Stritar's guide (indistinct triangular hillock, slightly right above the clearing west of the mountain pasture). Whether I was too weak in math at school and didn't like triangles or it was too early and the herd of horses on the meadow confused me, so I saw everything else and didn't find the start of the shepherd's path. But that didn't stop me and for the first 200 meters of elevation I found a passage much further west along a long steep diagonal gully that required climbing and narrowed at the top into a narrow, barely passable chute where I had to lower the backpack and secure myself. I exited into a small forest and then into scrub. Soon I found a passage upwards through the scrub that brought me all the way to Roban's meadows under the summit walls of Travnik, which I follow eastwards to their end or the precipitous edge above the cirque under Utami, which ends on the upper side with the last part of the Travnik ridge, on the lower with the sheer walls of Konj. I climb onto the ridge and descend on the north side to the saddle between Travnik and Utami. To the goal only a descent to the hut remains, where friends Fux and Korošc welcome me with mountain beef soup, who are responsible for the restoration of the hut under Utami. They restored the hut in the last two years on their own initiative exclusively by themselves and only random passers-by were lucky to see how they carried boards, tools and other materials in backpacks from Icmankova planina over Strelovec, sometimes even in crampons. They could serve as an example to many owners of similar huts and cottages that stand abandoned and neglected. Even the gentlemen who daily blabber from armchairs about preserving cultural-historical heritage could learn a lot on Uti. I thank them personally for a pleasant, instructive afternoon and the restoration of the hut, which only enriches the already wonderful cirque. In the late afternoon hours we three together headed towards the valley in the direction of Strelovec.

I've wanted to traverse this demanding pathless terrain without markings and protections for a long time. Last year I started on the hunting path that branches off from Kopinškova a bit below Škrbina, crossed the last meadows and reached the scree under the Travnik ridge. I didn't find a passage further and returned over the summit of Krofička.
So I think I know approximately what it looks like and I really CONGRATULATE you.
And I completely agree with you about the hut restoration. We all do too little together, good that there are Fuxes and Korošcs. Thanks.

Up to Ute from Klemenča cave and over the northern slopes of Krofička. The hunting path is poorly traceable in places, plus many side paths that casually lead you off the right one and add quite some elevation meters jezen. From Ute descent to "Hotel pod Utami" and past Strelovec back to Klemenča. Otherwise a wonderfully spent day nasmeh.

Krofička via marked/hunting/marked / ridge/hunting / marked
Pika kept her word and we tackled the route just before forgetting it…velik nasmeh
Thermometer showed 10°C and peaks in fog. We didn't panic too much, knew sun would soon chase the fog. Start at Razpotje 7:30 and 8:15 at Klemenča. From woodshed Plesnik's puppy whines waiting for someone to pick her up and end the wandering. How she enjoyed with everyone passing by..? Short break and on towards Ojstrica. Before turnoff to Kopinškova nas Pika heads uphill. Air full of moisture and we're all wet. New member of today's team is Zdravko (knitting team), my age group and we deliberately "brought up the rear". "Youngsters" raced ahead munching blueberries on the way. Nice hunting path under Krofička wall excites us and you really have to try to follow it. Not exposed and just right for me, as I hadn't been in mountains for three weeks. On the way we check spacious cave and soon on marked path to Krofička. At top of Krofička just before 11.
Snack, photos and already eyeing the ridge ahead. We invite along a youngster (Janez's acquaintance) and tackle the ridge. Progress quickly as ridge no problem for us. "Youth" hurries ahead again, us 57 year olds again "rear"coolcool. Weather serves us, no wind, right temperature, great company and what more could you want..? Traverse ridge (under an hour) no issues and already looking for exit to hunting path leading on S/W side. Bit of downclimbing - meanwhile released bushy branch with three cones hits me hard right on the "mule" (women…!!jezen). Zdravko asks: "What's your name, first name, where we going?". After two correct answers continue descent. Zdravko was really insightful…velik nasmeh
At 14:00 back at Klemenča, refresh and only descent to Razpotje left. Benča no longer whining in woodshed (looks like they took her to valley).

The previous day on Može was so great, that the next day I just continued with the ridges. This time it was like this: Klemenča cave, Strelovec, then to the ridge and along the ridge across Ute all the way to the top of Krofička. We descended on the usual path to the valley.
Since we weren't limited by time we could admire both Robanov kot and Logarska dolina. That's why our hike lasted beautiful eleven hours.
