That forest road now cuts the little path going from mountain hut to saddle. Just there where the road ends with big "parking".
Otherwise the little path was already well trodden only to the now abandoned hunter observatory on forest clearing higher than road end.

Zlatko, that path on pic 5 is from road to abandoned hide on clearing Drago writes about. Plenty of such marks on path. Interesting how gently in zigzags it is routed and wide. At hide it turns left and is traceable for some time. Then when ground more rocky it remained hidden to me so far and I climbed pathless slopes to path you write about. Added pics of hide and salt lick beside it. At road end one path goes right too, discovered on return.

Although I also want a bit more exploration in these parts myself, due to ever shorter afternoons I just repeated the story from the year before last and ascended the summit via the "normal route", past the - newly built - hunter's hut in Matkov kot. The upper part of the logging track is damp, almost muddy, also the forest slope from the end of the track to the ridge is like that. The final pitch to the summit has gained a few more degrees of incline recently nasmeh

, terrain there was dry. Beautiful weather and pre-evening colors.

Today again circular to this beautiful peak. Exceptionally...planned. velik nasmeh

From the track already quite high direct to the notch, from there right to the summit. Steep... mežikanje

Descent along the ledge to the saddle between valleys and down the gully back to the track.
Quite wet from night rain, so we used rope on the ledge on descent. Otherwise...super. nasmeh

The drag lift that takes you one level higher.

Iron-rich water flows also in Matkov kot.

Today a circular tour to this wonderful viewpoint. nasmeh

At all tracks I kept to the left and then really steeply up the slope. mrk pogled

I ended up on the ridge, about 10 minutes to the summit, which is on the right side. I descended via the "shelf" and back to Kot.
In Kot also a viewing of the "nicest footwear" velik nasmeh

, to Matka for ice cream and slowly home. mežikanje

To the right is the normal ascent, I stuck to the left.

At the little man born today I start up the slope.

The summit is already visible on the right.

You can also reach the ridge here. It is easier.

Today before the rain on this beautiful peak. The vlaka are so muddy you'd need boots, upper part and gredina dry. At the hut quite some people, as today traditional hike to Matkov Škaf PD Solčava.
Always nice in the Kot!
