Yesterday before the announced new snow on Veliki vrh and V. Zelenica. Snow below the summit iced over. Windy, in the afternoon it cleared up.

Given that there hasn't been a conditions report from these parts for a long time ...

I started at farm Kladnik above Luče. If I'm not mistaken, there hasn't been a path description from there yet, although I didn't know the reason. The path is actually quite nice and leads along the south-facing slope and then turns into the forest, so suitable for autumn or spring days. But it immediately became clear to me why there are no descriptions. Because hardly anyone walks there. Consequently, it's also less maintained, sometimes covered with leaves, especially missing sawing. But markings are still in good condition. Path starts right behind the farm, along forest road. Basically follow it straight all the time. After a while it leads into forest and turns into hiking path. In the last part again along dragline and ends on the flat at farm Planinšek.

I continued towards planina Podvežak. Road drivable roughly to first livestock fence, from there about 10 to 15cm packed snow, sometimes icy. Packed snow continues all the way. Well visible tracks lead somehow to junction below Črni vrh, from there only towards Korošica.

On Veliki vrh it's sensible to stick to marked path area. I went quite left on ascent, so in last part searched passages between brushwood and wind-blown rocks.

Descended towards planina Vodole. Path well traceable here too. Then after somewhat longer pathless wandering through forests and along drags arrived back to Planinšek.

But like last Monday again strong draught.

Yesterday with friend in really excellent conditions (packed partly icy snow, no wind, gorgeous clear weather) we summited Veliki vrh. To planina Podvežak road easily drivable (no chains needed). On road some snow only right at the end. We used crampons from saddle (1900m) to summit and back. It was so hard that gaiters weren't needed at all. Really fantastic.
Given current conditions I'm thinking it would be worth trying Planjava next week nasmeh

On Monday up from Molička direction. From east side harder access due to avalanche on exit.
Otherwise little snow. Skiable in upper half. Minus and wind almost too much.
Base hard and crampons grip well.

Today from Ravne to Dolge trate and on to Dleskovec. From there descent through brush to junction of marked paths. Up to here practically no snow. Not even new. nasmeh

We continued up the eastern gully to Veliki vrh. The gully was snow-covered, but it had just the right crust to go without crampons. On the summit also no new snow. zavijanje z očmi

Descent on the south side along marked path below Veliki vrh and past former Lučka hut on planina Ravne to close the loop. nasmeh

Oh, road is OK.

Cornices on the eastern side currently prevent ascent or descent from that side.

New signs everywhere. Praise to PD Grmada.

Below Dleskovec and on the north side still plenty of snow traversing.

Yesterday nice circular tour from Ravne to Križevnik and then to Velika zelenica and Veliki vrh, on ascent to Velika zelenica need to watch there's still some snow towards the ridge, especially don't get too close under the ridge of Veliki vrh and Zelenica because up there are quite nice cornices that will collapse down....

Morning hop to Veliki vrh 8.10.2020.

Snow on the path was practically none up to the threshold, higher up drifted, blown off and partly icy. A strong northwest wind was blowing on the summit. I descended the same path.

The road from the asphalt surface onwards seemed quite damaged to me.

Today in search of the sun. nasmeh

From Ravne to planina Jezerca and from there under Dleskovec via eastern gully to Veliki vrh. Descent past planina Dolga trata and the loop was closed.
Little snow and no obstacle anywhere...for now. mežikanje

Yesterday to Veliki vrh via the following path:
Parked at Podvežak/Ravne junction - Podvežak - Past Inkretov studenec - Towards Molička planina - and right up the slope to Veliki vrh. Return over planina Vodole and back to car.

Started late, only around 8.30h. 4 km walk to Podvežak just right warms up, and no wind. Some drove the road to Podvežak almost to 2/3 of the way to main parking successfully, but some icy slabs really not friendly to car underbody due to deep ruts.

From Podvežak onwards starts firm snow, track super trodden and wind minimal. Crampons and axe put on only at start of ascent to Veliki vrh. Steepness is substantial. Cornices along almost whole eastern ridge between Veliki vrh and Velika Zelenica, view to Dleskovec and planina Poljšak shows that end much less trodden than from Podvežak direction.

On top some wind, not exactly too summery, then careful summit descent and quick hops back to car on excellent snow. Great day and great peak! nasmeh
