Well, by the footprints, we were the only ones today who went directly to Kofce gora and then further. The path disappears before the summit, then everyone goes a bit their own way. There was a crowd on Veliki vrh though. Nice spots, no doubt!

tinky, you found flowers that I haven't seen yet this year. Where did you find Bursar's rockcress, which I've been looking for in vain for three years - under No. 11 you have it. It blooms first of all rockcresses and has the biggest flower of them. Under No. 10 you have evergreen smooth primrose, which I haven't seen this year either. It's also one of the first-blooming flowers of the high mountains. Under No. 26 you have tall gentian, which I haven't found on Krvavec today yet - the lady in the rock garden has already wilted. Under No. 9 you have Wulfen's gentian, of which there are as many as you want on Krvavec these days. Mountain avens - under No. 28 there are plenty too. Your auricula under No. 24 this year looks like it won't bloom. This year I've already seen it on four trips. Under Nos. 27 and 29 - spring gentian is now full everywhere. Great gentian - Clusius' gentian I also found today only in buds. Our young ones went to Zelenica and said there's still snow up there - do you remember last year's trip to Begunjščica? L.P.

The rockcress was really only that bouquet, that gentian has bloomed though.

From Pungrat pasture to Škrbina you need to cross a small snow patch, higher up the path is torn up by hooves a bit more than other years. For the top of Kladivo winter gear is still needed, while for Pungrat mountain it's not.

On Saturday on Košuta - on Veliki vrh and Kladivo. At first it looked a bit worse because of clouds hiding the ridge, but later it cleared up, so views across the ridge were wonderful. From Veliki vrh to Kladivo there are still some snow patches, which we can bypass on grass - but watch out, they slide too!

Joste, how much time (approx) did you need to hike this route? I plan to traverse the whole ridge and make a loop tour in the near future, so every info is welcome to plan the tour more accurately. Otherwise very nice!

Hey, for the whole route I needed approx. 6 hours, but I spent quite a lot with the camera and long on the summits. Otherwise, for example, Kofce - Veliki vrh is an hour and a half walk, Veliki vrh - Kladivo also a good hour, further I don't know... According to Karavanke guide, starting from Kofce traversing the whole ridge one way is 8-9 hours...

Based on what I see, I'm interested if the Košuta ridge is already suitable for full traverse (for the so-called loop tour)?

Has anyone been to Kladivo recently? I'm interested if the path from Dom na Kofcah over Kofce gora to Kladiva is trodden? Thanks for the answer!

On Saturday we walked well from Veliki Vrh to Veliko Kladivo, but the track might get blown over. At the top of Veliko Kladivo there's very little snow.
