One comment:

a webcam or camera in general is meant to show the actual situation.

On this page I click on Triglav and it shows me something that's not Triglav,..mežikanje and some other links are like that,....

Hey admin fix this a bit, if there's no option then better take it down from the website.

Thanks for understanding.

Lately the webcams from Pohorje aren't opening. I'd ask the moderators if this can be fixed.
Thanks!

Interesting question? Wouldn't it be more logical if the camera at Kredarica pointed towards Mali Triglav? What do you think? That way conditions on Triglav would be visible, not the space before the hut, which tells nothing about what's going on.

No, no, the camera is already correctly positioned. That's why it's like that, so you stand in front of the camera, wave and shout into your mobile: do you see me, do you see me?!?! zmeden

In a way right, but not to yell "look at me". More interesting if someone archives the camera shot when you are really there, with the date on the picture for memory.

I also think it would be better if it was pointed towards Triglav so everyone could see what the conditions are like. For putting into the phone now there are also such phones that you can put and take pictures straight.

If you're interested in how the weather looks on Triglav, you can see it on the Vogel ski webcam, which nicely covers the whole Triglav.

Whoever manages webcams, in my opinion some are not well positioned. Example: View on Planjava, if someone turned it a bit up the top of Planjava would be visible. Like this only half mountain. Or view on Visoka Ponca catastrophe, turned to cable car. On Kredarica turned towards Tosca. Others seem OK positioned. Praise Kvavec,Vogel,Sv.Višarje,Soriška PL.,ETC.

these are cameras owned by ski area operators intended for showing conditions on ski slopes so directed accordingly to their purpose.

I noticed that long ago, but it seems no one cares about those cameras. On Kredarica the keepers could turn it towards Triglav. At least we could see the conditions on Triglav.

Webcams are property of their owners, whose link is under the picture.
E.g.: Webcam on Kredarica is property of the Slovenian Environment Agency. It's facing Tosca i.e. Lower Bohinj Mountains to observe the weather.
Most webcams are owned by ski resorts and therefore pointed slightly downwards (to see conditions on the ski slope).

Does anyone happen to know who installed the camera at Zgornje Jezersko. If someone turned it upwards a couple of cm, the Alps would be visible too. Not the bus stop and road. And Jezersko would still be visible. And best regards!

The camera belongs to the Traffic Information Centre i.e. Directorate RS for Roads, that's why it's facing the road and not the mountains.

With the help of the webcam we can now from Kredarica also see towards KSA. Is this a novelty only on hribi.net portal? I haven't noticed on meteo.si, although it seems they are the providers to bring us the view to the other side of the high mountains.
Awesome. cool

I also noticed this camera only on Hribi.net portal, on the ARSO website itself and on meteo ARSO portal I can't see images anywherezmeden

Question to the site moderator: Why does the webcam from Brnik airport show the view on Grintavec always with 2 hour delay? E.g. camera on Velika Planina sometimes too? A bit funny if you plan a trip but the image is two hours old? Thanks for answer. LP
like
Tadej5. 08. 2011 08:43:06
On the Brnik airport webcam (view of Grintovec) UTC time is used (winter 1 hour difference, summer 2 hours difference). This means the image is only a few minutes old and not two hours.

Explanation:
UTC - coordinated universal time (Universal Time Coordinated)
In Slovenia Central European Time CET is used. Difference between CET and UTC is one hour. Example: when it's noon (12:00) UTC, it's one o'clock (13:00) CET. Vice versa: when it's noon (12:00) CET, it's eleven (11:00) UTC.
During daylight saving time the difference between local CEST (Central European Summer Time) and UTC is two hours. Example: when it's noon (12:00) UTC, it's two o'clock (14:00) CEST. Vice versa: when it's noon (12:00) CEST, it's ten (10:00) UTC.

Taken from ARSO website. ARSO also manages the mentioned webcam.

Most webcam operators want images always up-to-date but technically not always possible. Same with Velika Planina webcam.

Best, Tadej

I just can't get used to there being such a bad camera on Dobrča. Especially because it's pointed at our jewel BLED. I think probably some other provider and not too expensive to set up its own. Namely impossible to send to friends abroad because nothing of the camera. Hope the voice reaches someone who can fix it.
Many thanks if this achieves good purpose and response.
Safe travels wherever to all.
