On the summits themselves installation would be practically impossible (power supply, vandalism, theft), but they could be located at mountain huts where they have minimal internet connection, with a view of the surrounding mountains, peaks.

And a girl to scratch my back wouldn't be amiss.

@jurck
Good idea; skiing we can hardly imagine without such cameras anymore. Worth considering for the caretakers.
They would be watched a lot, so at least the acquisition costs could be covered with some sponsor euros (in exchange for sponsor logo on the image).

Many of them don't work either, e.g. Krvavec, none of the five is active.

Who should we address this to? PZS?
To the caretakers?

I'm also interested in how to reach some editor of this portal to talk to or get info on how to include the webcam in the list of existing ones on hribi.net. We have a new one at Dom na Peci, so it could be added...

You can send data on new cameras, changes to existing cameras... to info@hribi.net or right here on the forum.

The camera at the market in Bovec hasn't worked for a long time. I really miss it, because it showed the real picture of conditions in Bovec live. I followed it several times when heading to those areas. Can't the fault be fixed?

Yes and it's really true. Maybe it's an intentional breakdown so we wouldn't all see the municipal workers going for drinks in that prefab buffet on the square.

I'm wondering why lately you can't enlarge the camera image to full screen anymore.

Yes, the admins are really quick! Already this morning the (otherwise inactive) image of the camera on the square in Bovec was removed. If only they were so quick with something more useful...

I've added the webcam Dom na Peci.
http://www.hribi.net/spletna_kamera/dom_na_peci/2147

The maintainer or owner of each individual camera will know best (source listed under each camera) and it's best to ask them about details.
Generally, quite a few cameras are inactive between summer and winter season. That's mostly ski resort cameras.

All whats´up webcams can be enlarged on whats´up.com, but not on hribi.net. Maybe not all the blame is on the owner's side?

hi
Does anyone have info why they slightly moved the camera on Kredarica so the entrance to the chapel and changes in snow cover aren't visible anymore
like
francimedved7. 12. 2014 13:49:32
I noticed that too. Probably the wind moved it, just call Kredarica and they'll tell you

Well it finally worked. Cameras on Kredarica and in Bovec are working properly. Full praise to the admins or those who pushed...
Truly praiseworthy - and useful... Only the Bovec camera image can't be enlarged and no sound anymore. Before both were possible. Still better than nothing...

Note on the Marmolada webcam. Above the first picture the last sentence is completely unnecessary... because it's NOT in the picture. Thanks in advance for the correction.
