Fog in the valley is a sign of autumn,
nobody values its whiteness much.

joyful steps among golden larches.
Who has seen this golden mountain adornment,
knows how joy reaches right to the heart.
Golden larches have no long reach,
winter's hand destroys them all too soon.
Mid-October is usually their time,
so to the mountains to delight you too.
