Some time ago I noticed on the forum a warning about fines for improper parking. Last week (25.08.2011) the wardens were diligently doing their job. In Zadnjica valley, under the cargo cableway to Kriške pode there were plenty of warden warnings, even wheel clamps on cars.

In short, warning to all who like to park right in front of the "doorstep", better a bit more walking than high fines!

Possible that foreigners put the clamps on themselves but all other parked cars had a warden notice about violation under the wipers. I met a lady who just returned from Kriški podi and couldn't believe it's happening. True also that cars parked before the cargo cableway ramp had the notice, but those parked on the marked parking did not.

One more thing, on the slip it said it's violation of 13th article of TNP Law. I think the fine can be up to 200 EUR.

Read the Triglav National Park Law. Also on the Triglav National Park website it says that controls will be tightened.

In TNP you need to park where there's P sign, on the arranged parking lot, even in Vrata people park right before the parking, which of course gets you the warden notice.

And if you go say to Kukova špica, where can you park then?

I think if you don't bother anyone with your parking and you're not exactly with the whole car on the meadow mežikanje you can also park on places without P... Like, say, Poldov rovt, Turkov rovt, Lengarjev rovt(Kot) etc... If you go to KŠ then park at Peričnik where there's P, a short morning walk to Črlovec doesn't hurt anyone. Or from Peričnik directly along the hunter's path to the junction with PP, then to Črlovec... Some would even drive to Kredarica...zavijanje z očmi

Hello. Does anyone know how it is this year with parking at the ramp in Zadnjica? Do they still give fines for wipers?

Even if they don't give them now, you never know when they'll start mežikanje If you park on the marked parking lot, you extend your walk by less than 15 min, but you're not afraid of a ticket waiting under the wiper velik nasmeh

Ok thanks for the answers. I'll leave the car at the parking lot. By the way how much are the fines? Haven't seen the amount anywhere.

The parking lot that was in Zadnjica for many years they'll move to Bovec or even better to Tolmin so random hikers don't disturb morning sleeping weekend locals. What a TNP.

Last year's experience: my husband and I followed the rules and parked at the parking lot at the start of Zadnjica. Backpack on shoulder, then on bike to the barrier. At least 10 cars overtook me with such force and so close that they almost dragged me along, not to mention the dust. If on foot, not much better.
And then you can discuss endlessly: what's better, pay that fine (not necessarily if you hit the right day) or risk health, if not life.
Same goes for paths like Jermanca, from Mač towards Storžič ...
We could discuss endlessly, rules yes or no, national park ... put up the barrier and dilemmas, temptations and discussions end. We Slovenes are unfortunately strange birds.
