Actually we didn't get exactly to the saddle but a bit lower to the road to Lokam. To be honest, from Črni vrh we didn't find the marked path because the wind messed everything up, marks are pretty poor anyway. (Not the first time I've been there). No big deal, we made it down to the valley our way but went too far right obviously.

Humidity, fog, slippery path (some steps quite awkward and cautious), on the other side magnificent silence of nature. Two-hour excursion through the window up and back along Tesen stream gorge. Descent on path follows without trouble, crosses stream few times, otherwise well trodden. No wonder I like returning to this little hill...

Along a good forest road a little below the parking lot, path through the window and then almost to the stream.

Native :) creature of this area - today I counted about 50 of them, this one I almost grabbed while walking...

Markings and directional signs are still well preserved, as is the path

If we follow the cart track, we reach the marked path past Zajčeva koča.

I didn't go to the end though, but the path through Tesen stream gorge is freshly and precisely marked and done up. Direction sign at road still (?) missing. lp, Andrej

For March 8, Women's Day, our guide prepared something new for us all, even experienced mountain flowers. We drove to Savinja valley, from Vransko to Ojstrica village, Tabor, Loke. At Krvavica marker we headed steeply into forest. Didn't rush, progressed nicely steadily. Some parts need more caution. Soon reached secured part, window, bit more and at top. Nice day, views to Triglav too. Kamnik-Savinja Alps with Raduha ahead. Saw Čemšenik pasture from other side, as usual. Interesting unknown to us Brložen. In Natura 2000 area, guide reminded us of peregrine falcon area that nearly went extinct but luckily didn't. One legend says Krvavica name from blood of Veronika Deseniška allegedly killed here by Celje counts..., others see Veronika's face in rocks, true or not, rocks interesting. Descent to Zajeva hut. Descent along bit more demanding path by Tesen stream now marked. Liked the path, guide's help useful at crossings sometimes. But not all. For special day followed Pekel cave visit, 3500 years old with waterfall, bats, crayfish and exit to heavens. Finale donuts at Trojan. So much in one day...we hike and always discover new beauties of our little Slovenia. Thanks both guides for super idea and guiding.
