Today, 16 April, I was at Zajčeva Hut, from there I continued the path towards Krvavica. Everywhere it's already blooming, especially a lot of wild garlic on the path towards Krvavica. The path itself is nicely laid out and exemplarily marked. It doesn't require special effort to the foot of Krvavica. The last 20 minutes of the ascent to Krvavica are very steep and quite demand fitness and strength. At the top I was rewarded with a nice view.

Nice shots you made!
I was on Krvavica a few years ago in summer and got such a number of ticks that I don't even think of visiting this hill again when ticks are most active.

Krvavica is between Celje and Vransko. In Kapla turn onto local road through Tabor and Loke, then along Suhi potok forest road. The name isn't of culinary origin. Rocks are red colored and legend says it's blood of Veronika Deseniška who was murdered because she ensnared Frederick Celjski and crossed plans of his father Herman. Don't let the gruesome story deter you from the outing.

How is it with the opening of Zajčeva koča?! Is the stamp perhaps also available when the hut is closed? Thanks for the answers. PLP Igor

The stamp and the logbook are in the mailbox in front of the hut, at least last year it was so

Today we ascended from the village Loke and then past Zajčeva hut to Krvavica. We descended via a somewhat harder path through the window.
During descent through the window greater caution is needed due to wet and partly icy path.

At the foot of Krvavica, that's in Ojstrica, there is enough space for parking from where it's about an hour to the top of Krvavica, from there another half hour to Zajčeva hut.

Thanks, Veseljak, for the tips. I went up today and then to Zajčeva hut. But I must say, the path is very poorly marked or nowhere from Zajčeva hut left through the gully to (Hrastnik).

Dear Zamet
Somehow I feel obliged to give you some information. For quite some years the path from Zajčeva hut to Hrastnik farm is not marked. The path is not described in any hiking guide and is not marked either, I think there should be a warning sign at the hut that the path is not marked because it is too dangerous and there are other paths down to the valley. However, descent at own risk is quite pleasant.
