Yesterday I walked the route St. Anna am Lavantegg - Waldheimhütte - Rothaidenhütte - Zirbitzkogel - Lavantsee - Köhlerhütte - Waldheimhütte - St. Anna am Lavantegg.
The path is normally passable, no snow on the path.
Parking fee at Waldheimhütte hut (1614 m), or toll to there is 3 euros, in St. Anna am Lavantegg settlement (1291 m) parking is free.

I have already visited it this year. The hike to Zirbitzkogel is suitable in every season. The hut is open on weekends even in winter, and the path is groomed with a snowcat.

This time from Klippitztörl pass to Fuchskogel, which is the neighboring peak of Zirbitzkogel.
The walked path is normally passable, but very long.
Parking at Klippitztörl pass (1644 m) is free.

To Zirbitzkogel is 7 hours of fast walking.

Cross on Fuschkogel, the highest point of the summit is a bit aside.

Somewhere to snow and sun, that was our motto on Friday. This peak is close, easily accessible, and they even groom the trail. From Waldheimhütte (parking, 3 euros) about 3 hours scenic hike. View gets wider with height. On the top everything is in the palm of the hand. From our Alps to half Austria.
On top hut open on nice weekends. For ski touring still little snow, as windblown. Those with skis skied on forest road where more snow packed, hutkeeper grooms it with small snowcat on each arrival to hut. We used snowshoes this time. Better choice.

Drago, that decorated man is wooden. Unbelievable, how they manage to preserve it, I was up there more than thirty years ago and remember it strongly.

Some of today's impressions from the trip to Scharfes Eck and Zirbitzkogel.
I started the route in Mönchegg, where free parking is available, then passed the Sabathy-Hütte im Zirbenland hut, where parking costs 3 EUR, and ascended both mentioned peaks.
I descended by a parallel path.
