Bohinjska Bistrica - Koča na Soriški planini

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving in the direction of Soriška planina. When we get to the crossroad where, from the main road, the road towards the settlement Ravne branches off to the right, we park on a macadam parking lot at the foot of the former ski slope Kobla.
B) From Selška dolina valley or Baška grapa we drive to Soriška planina, and then we descend into Bohinjska Bistrica, where we park on a macadam parking lot at the crossroad where a road towards the settlement Ravne branches off to the left.
C) From Železniki over the saddle Rovtarica we drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, where we park on a macadam parking lot at the crossroad where a road towards the settlement Ravne branches off to the left.
D) We can also reach the starting point by train.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the asphalt road in the direction of Soriška planina, along which we walk past the company LIP panel boards Bohinj, d.o.o., and we leave it only a little further from the sign that marks the end of the settlement Bohinjska Bistrica, namely after crossing the stream Butanica.
Signs for Nemški Rovt direct us from the road to the right onto the path that ascends along the mentioned stream and mostly runs through the forest. Higher up, we reach a macadam road, which we follow to the right; along it we quickly emerge from the forest, and at the wooden cross we choose the wider left road. Enjoying nice views of Spodnje Bohinjske gore, we ascend to the village Nemški Rovt, where at the homestead Pri Polanc we continue right onto the road that descends slightly. After the "last" house we reach a pond, from there we continue on the macadam road (right Ravne), which a little further ahead, at the smaller football field, changes into a cart track. We continue on the cart track for a short time, then go slightly left onto a footpath along which we notice some older blazes, and higher up we return to the cart track. The cart track then ascends somewhat more steeply and soon splits. We choose the left cart track, and higher, at the next somewhat larger junction, we go right, so that we continue ascending diagonally to the right. On the panoramic section, from where a nice view of Bohinj opens up, we continue left to the edge of the mountain pasture Strmne. Here the blazes direct us right, but to avoid walking on the too overgrown path, it is better to continue straight ahead, where we quickly reach the macadam road along which we continue. When the road enters the forest, we go right from the road onto a beaten footpath that quickly brings us to the continuation of the mountain pasture. We continue along the right edge of the mountain pasture, and when we return to the forest, an overgrown marked path joins us from the right. A little further on, we reach a wider macadam road, which we leave shortly afterwards and continue left in the direction of Soriška planina (straight to Orožnova koča); the path leads us across a moderately steep hayfield. After a smaller cottage the path enters the forest, through which it ascends moderately to occasionally steeply, and higher up we cross another forest road. The marked path, along which there are mostly older blazes, then brings us to the high-voltage power line, along which we ascend for some time, and further on we also cross the road that leads to the saddle Vrh Bače. On this section the path enters a smaller valley, along which we easily ascend to the main road, along which we continue to the large parking lot at the foot of Soriška planina, where there is also the bar Brunarica.
After the information boards we go right and in a few minutes ascend to the Litostrojska koča on Soriška planina.
