Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana–Ljubelj or Ljubljana–Obrežje motorway, head towards the Novo mesto - east exit (or the Otočec exit). At the roundabouts, follow the signs for Šentjernej or Ratež. In the settlement of Ratež, turn right towards the village of Velike Brusnice. From Velike Brusnice, continue on the main road towards the village of Gabrje. In the center of Gabrje, right after the inn, reach an intersection and continue straight along Šumeči potok street. At the end of the street, reach the asphalt parking lot that continues as a gravel road. Here you can already see signposts for Trdinov vrh and Planinski dom pri Gospodični.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we head onto the marked footpath, along which there are signs for Trdinov vrh and Planinski dom pri Gospodični. The path continues to ascend through the forest, and at junctions we follow the well-marked and trodden trail. The ascent through the forest remains moderate, only here and there does the path become somewhat steeper. Higher up it rises a little more and turns left, leading us across a small bridge. This is followed by some transverse ascent to the left along the wooded northwestern slopes, after which the path turns right and leads us to the Gospodična spring.
We bypass the spring on the right side, then ascend via gentle steps to Planinski dom pri Gospodični.
Along the route: Izvir Gospodična (818m)
