Oplotnica - Brinjeva gora (above Zreče) (above quarry)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave the highway at the Slovenske Konjice exit and turn right at the roundabout, which we leave at the first exit, direction Slovenska Bistrica. We drive through Tepanje, then in the settlement Novo Tepanje at the junction we turn left, direction Oplotnica - Osankarica. We follow the road until we reach the junction just before Oplotnica, we turn left and drive through the town. At the main junction in the settlement we drive straight, direction Kebelj - Osankarica. Almost immediately after the junction we notice on the left a smaller park with a partisan memorial and hiking signs. We park by the road.
B) We leave the highway at the Slovenska Bistrica-Jug exit and follow the signs in the direction of Slovenske Konjice - Celje. When we drive out of Slovenska Bistrica, at the larger junction we turn right, direction Oplotnica - Osankarica. We stick to the main road all the time until we reach Oplotnica. At the main junction in the settlement we drive straight, direction Kebelj - Osankarica. Almost immediately after the junction we notice on the left a smaller park with a partisan memorial and hiking signs. We park by the road.

Path description:
We go through the park and over wooden bridges, on the road we first turn left, then soon right onto Goriška cesta, which soon starts to ascend. We follow the road all the time. Soon we reach the top of the hill, where we go straight, direction Kovaški Vrh. We descend and continue left past the woodworking company on the road, which soon enters the forest. In the forest at the junction we continue straight (right Kovaški Vrh). We follow the local road, soon a hiking signpost directs us left onto a smaller road, which at the chapel turns into macadam. From there we continue on macadam to the forest, where we soon turn left into the forest. Here it is also possible to park, the walking time is then halved. Through the forest we always follow the nice macadam road, which soon joins another road. Then we quickly emerge from the forest past orchards, where we turn left and past the chapel reach the asphalt road. Here we turn right and after a few meters left into the forest on a fairly steep hiking path. The path soon brings us above the quarry, but we are protected from the fall by a fence. Past the quarry we reach the ridge of Brinjeva gora, where we turn right and always follow the ridge until we reach the church of St. Neža on the smaller summit Golika (608 m).
Past the church we descend on macadam to the junction, where we continue straight into the forest. Soon on the right we notice a chapel, a few meters after which the blazes direct us right onto a rocky path. This brings us to the viewpoint at the top of Brinjeva gora.
On the top there are a couple of benches, a logbook and a stamp.
