Rute (Zavrh) / Bärental - Planina Seča

Access to starting point:
Via the Ljubelj border crossing we descend to the Austrian side, and then in the second roundabout (which is located a little before the bridge over the Drava River) we take the exit Bistrica v Rožu / Feistritz. We then drive to the mentioned settlement, where signs for Rute / Bärental direct us left onto the ascending road, which after a few km brings us to the mentioned village, where we park on the parking lot by the road (by the parking lot there are mountaineering signposts for Struško / Barentaler Kotschna).

Path description:
From the parking lot, we head right onto the asphalt road in the direction of "Bärensattel". After some ten steps the road brings us to the inn Stouhütte, behind which we leave it and head onto the footpath in the direction of "Bärensattel". The path then immediately after some small stairs turns left and a little higher crosses the macadam road. We continue ascending on a pleasant forest path, which higher brings us to the partly abandoned farm Žnidar, where we turn sharply left. The path continues again into the forest and after a short moderate ascent brings us to the hunting observatory (if we climb to the top, a nice view opens up over the Drava Valley). The path then gradually becomes steeper and brings us higher below smaller cliffs, where gravel interrupts the pleasant walk and we must climb steeply upward on it (careful especially on the descent). The steepness then eases and the path past a drying spring brings us to the saddle Medvedjak / Bärensattel.
Here we continue straight ahead (right to Struška) and after some 10 steps of further walking we arrive at the hut on Planina Seča.
