Črno jezero on Pohorje

Description of lake:
Črno jezero on Pohorje is an artificial lake. Around 6000 BC, at the end of the Ice Age, the inhabitants of Pohorje at that time deepened a swampy area and turned it into a lake. Its size was enlarged in the mid-19th century for log transport to the valley. The lake, where rare animal and plant species are found, today measures around 50 hectares.
