Frischaufov dom na Okrešlju

Description of hut:
Frischaufov dom na Okrešlju is located at an altitude of 1396 meters on the lower edge of the glacial cirque Okrešelj above Logarska dolina. It is situated right below the imposing walls of Brana, Turska gora and Rink. From the hut or its location, there is a magnificent view of the northern walls of Ojstrica, Planjava, Brana and Turska gora.
Current status and update (construction of the new hut): The original mountain hut completely burned down in a fire on November 7, 2019. In its place, the Mountaineering Association Celje - Matica is rapidly building a new, modern and ecologically friendly hut. The exterior of the building is already completed, while the installation of the complex interior equipment and electricity supply from the valley is currently underway, which is why the full opening of the hut is being slightly delayed.
In the meantime (during the extended summer season), a temporary catering facility (wooden log cabin) operates right next to the new construction. In it, the caretakers offer basic food and drink service on weekends and in good weather. Accommodation in the hut is currently not available, but in winter a winter room with 6 beds remains accessible nearby.
