Kamniti lovec / Cima del Cacciatore

Description of mountain:
Kamniti lovec is a popular excursion point above Trbiž. Due to the short approach, shortened by the cable car to Višarje, it is well visited. Two paths lead to the summit, where a cross stands. The first, used by most hikers and also easier, comes from Svetih Višarje; the second, more difficult one, comes from the Zajzera valley via a marked footpath over the Prašnik saddle. Even the easier path requires considerable caution in its final section. From Kamniti lovec there is a very nice view of Viš and Montaž and their neighbouring peaks. Slovenian peaks are also visible, dominated by Mangart and Jalovec. To the north lies the view of the Carnic Alps, behind which slightly higher Austrian mountains can be seen.
