Kleiner Ebenstein

Description of mountain:
Kleiner Ebenstein is a 1943-meter-high peak located in the heart of the mighty Austrian mountain group Hochschwab. The peak rises approximately 8 kilometers south-southeast of the well-known town of Wildalpen and less than a kilometer southwest of its higher and more visited neighbor, the peak Ebenstein (2123 m).
From the summit, there is a wonderful view of the surrounding walls of the central part of Hochschwab and the deep valley of Höllgraben, which extends northeast of the mountain. The landscape around the peak is characterized by typical high-alpine karst with extensive plateaus and grassy patches.
