Koča na Dobrči

Description of mountain hut:
The mountain hut stands on the edge of the steep southern slope of Dobrča, offering an outstanding view eastward towards Kriška gora, Storžič and the distant Kamnik-Savinja Alps. To the south the view extends far across the Ljubljana Basin and Jelovica, while to the west Lake Bled gleams below the Julian Alps. And what lies hidden to the north? The answer awaits at the summit of Dobrča.

Culinary offer:
You certainly will not leave the hut hungry, as the varied menu is sure to have something to suit every taste. They always offer at least three different stews, buckwheat žganci, sauerkraut, sausages, blood sausages, roasted pork ribs, cheese štruklji and apple strudel, plus sour milk in the grazing season.

Opening hours:
from 1 June to 30 September: open non-stop
off-season: Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening, and on holidays (from the afternoon before a holiday until the evening of the last holiday day). Open on other days by arrangement for groups.

access for people with disabilities or limited mobility is possible by prior arrangement with the tenant
pets are not allowed in the dining area for sanitary reasons

Going higher?
From the hut you can reach the summit of Dobrča in a good half hour. For those who enjoy longer hikes, there is a varied marked trail to Preval pasture and over the southern grassy slopes to the summit of Begunjščica.
