Description of mountain:
Marchreisenspitze is a beautifully shaped and distinctly recognizable mountain and one of the main summits in the Kalkkögel range, the northern bastion of the Stubai Alps. Like much of the Kalkkögel, it is built of limestone, and a popular via ferrata "Lustige Bergler Steig" leads to it. It is located above the Axamer Lizum ski resort, where most of the skiing events of the Innsbruck Olympics in 1964 and 1976 took place, and offers wonderful views of the Stubai Alps, Zillertal Alps, Mieming and Nordkette ranges, and the Inn Valley.
