Description of mountain:
Marchreisenspitze is a nicely shaped and from the far recognizable mountain and one of the main peaks in the mountain range Kalkkögel, the northern rampart of Stubai Alps. Same as the larger part of Kalkkögel, it is made of limestone, and to the top leads a popular secured path "Lustige Bergler Steig". It's located above the ski slope Axamer Lizum, where the majority of ski events at the Innsbruck Olympics in the years 1964 and 1976 took place, and it offers a breathtaking view on Stubai Alps, Zillertal Alps, mountain ranges Mieming and Nordkette and the valley of river Inn.
