Description of mountain:
Some of the numerous peaks of the Mežakla plateau, which belongs to the Julian Alps, are interesting as viewpoints. One of them is certainly the 1,184 m high peak of Police, located on the southern edge of the plateau, west of the village Perniki. Especially in spring and late autumn, this rocky summit offers fine views in several directions. To the west we see part of the Julian Alps from Kukova špica to Škrlatica, to the north the Karawanks from Kurjek to Stol, to the south across the Pokljuka wall of Gabrje toward the Bohinj hills with Črna prst and Rodica, and toward Ratitovec. A nice view also opens into the Radovna Valley, toward the village of Perniki and Krnica with part of Gorje, and onto the Mežakla plateau itself with the Ravne mountain pasture and its peaks - Petelin, Oblek, and Jerebikovec.
