Description of mountain:
Škabrijel is a hill northeast of the town of Gorica. Since the vegetation on the summit was cleared and a tall metal observation tower was erected, it offers exceptional views in all directions. The Soča River between Solkan and Podgora lies as clear as day. To the north, the Julian Alps and Carnic Alps stand out nicely. To the south, beyond the karst Črni hribi with Trstelj, the Adriatic Sea is visible, while to the east lies the western edge of the Trnovo Plateau.
It is also interesting from a historical perspective, as fierce battles took place there during World War I.
It got its name from the church of St. Gabriel, which stood there before World War I.
