Description of mountain:
Studenice Castle is situated on a hill above the monastery complex and the main part of Studenice. According to historical sources, it was built during the time of Turkish incursions and was supposedly called Studenitz castrum. Structurally, it is more of a fort with a tower. In 1788, it burned down in a large fire and was not rebuilt. From the castle ruins, there is a nice view toward Boč, including its peak.
