Sveti Socerb (Artviže)

Description of mountain:
The Church of St. Socerb is located on a panoramic hill above the village of Artviže, which at 817 meters is the highest peak of the Brkini. From the church, built in the 17th century, a beautiful view opens up onto Vremščica, the Vremska dolina valley, Matarsko podolje, Slavnik, and on clear days as far as the Julian Alps, Karawanks, and Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The logbook box and stamp are located a little below the summit, specifically in the center of Artviže village, where there is also a larger NOB monument.
