Sveti Socerb (Artviže)

Description of mountain:
Church of St. Socerb is situated on a panoramic hill above the village Artviže, which is with its 817 meters the highest peak of Brkini. From the church, which was built in 17th century, a beautiful view opens up on Vremščica, valley Vremska dolina, Matarsko podolje, Slavnik, and in good weather, the view reaches all the way to Julian Alps, Karawanks and Kamnik Savinja Alps. Inscription box and a stamp, are situated a little below the summit, more precisely in the middle of the village Artviže, where there is also a bigger NOB monument.
