Zabreznik (Sveti Miklavž)

Description of mountain:
Zabreznik is a peak located northeast above Izlake. At 625 m, it is the highest peak of the mentioned local community, named after the hamlet of Zabreznik at its base, below the hamlet of Ržiše. The summit features a meadow with a nice view of Čemšeniška planina, Čemšenik, Prhovec, and Reber, making it ideal for a picnic. Right on the summit stands the Church of St. Miklavž, where masses are occasionally held. The peak is not heavily visited, so it is ideal for a peaceful walk. Nearby is the historical monument Castle Gamberk, to which the trip can be extended.
