Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu

Description of mountain:
In the middle of the southern slopes of Cjanovca (the slopes of Zaplata), which is a secondary peak of the better-known Srednji vrh, lies an interesting forest named Hudičev boršt. At the lower edge of the forest, where there used to stand a hunting cottage, a new mountain hut (Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu) has been built to serve mountaineers, hunters, mountain rescuers, and foresters. The Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu, managed by PD Preddvor, is open from 31.3. to 31.10.2015 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. By prior arrangement, it is also open on other days of the week.
Legend of the origin of Hudičev boršt:
Once there lived two farmers who stubbornly quarreled over a forest until one, in anger, exclaimed: "May the devil take it!" Instantly the words came true, and the farmers stared in fright at the little devil who dashed toward the mountains with the forest on his back. He had reached the middle when the bell rang at St. Jakob. The devil lost his strength and dropped the burden in the middle of the hill.
