Žovnek Castle

Description of mountain:
Žovnek Castle is located on a small panoramic hill west, or northwest, of Lake Žovnek. From the castle, which is currently under renovation (January 2011), there is a beautiful view of the nearby Grmada, Lake Žovnek, part of the Savinja Valley, and the Posavje Hills. The castle, first mentioned in the 12th century, has a logbook box with a register inside; the stamp is currently damaged (January 2011).
