Griesscharte

Description:
Griesscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2810 meters in the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Hochfeilerhütte, located 3km south. Closer is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak, which is located 0.9km to the west-southwest. 0.8 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Rötkees, 1.0 km south-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Grießferner. The saddle is located above the valley Schlegeisgrund.
