Description:
Halsscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2549 meters in the Villgraten Mountains. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Patscher Hütte, located 6km north. A bit closer is bivouac Schießstand Jagdverein St. Jakob, which is located 5km to the north. 7 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo. The saddle is located above the valley Gsieser Tal - Valle di Casies.
