The nearest mountain hut is Rieder Hütte, located 2km north. Grasbergstube (Jhtt.) is a bit further away. 6 km north of the saddle there is lake Vorderer Langbathsee. Southwest of the saddle is the valley Weißenbachtal. The saddle is located below the ridge Brunnkogel Nordostkamm.
