The nearest mountain hut is Seethalerhütte, located 1.6km east. bivouac Ramsau Brückenhof is also relatively close. 0.8 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Kleiner Gosaugletscher, 0.8 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Nördlicher Torsteingletscher. South of the saddle is the valley Preunegg. The saddle is located above the ridge Windlegergrat.
