Description:
Burgstallkogel is 933 meter high peak and is part of the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 1.7 km east from the center of Vorderschroffenau and 3 km south from the center of Hof bei Salzburg. The nearest mountain hut is Spielbergalm (Gollegg), located 8km south. A bit closer is bivouac Thalgau Unterdorf, which is located 5km to the north-northeast. 5 km east of the peak there is lake Fuschlsee. The peak is located west of the valley Klausbach.
