Cima Settentrionale del Dosson is 3379 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Adamello-Brenta. The peak is located 3 km northwest of peak Corno di Cavento. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio ai Caduti dell'Adamello, located 1.5km north-northeast. bivouac Bivacco G. Laeng is also relatively close. 5 km east-southeast of the peak there is lake Lago di Lares. 4 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Vedretta di Pisgana, 5 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Pisganino.
